Our namesake has so much rich significance behind it. For us, it’s the idea that all great things start as dust and will one day return to dust; a notion that we dwell on a lot as pottery makers. It serves as a reminder that life is short, so precious, and at the end of the day our earthly treasures, creations, and bodies will return to the dust from which they came.
