Though we would love to go to a restaurant and be sat on a patio with picturesque ocean or bay views with our loved ones, traverse the beach and hiking trails, or enjoy a walk along the boardwalk, it isn’t quite warm enough to take our date nights into the great outdoors just yet.
Enter, The Clay at Home Kit! Our solution to winter date nights.
Once you’ve picked up your kit there’s no need to leave the house! Just put on your comfies, grab your sweetie, and let us take care of the rest.
Our original Clay at Home Kit includes soft clay, pottery tools, and access to a step-by-step video tutorial on how to make your own pottery at home. You and your date will learn from Jars of Dust owner Mallorie the process of making your own version of the Catch-All Dish.
Get your creative juices flowing with these simple steps:
1. Purchase your Clay at Home Kit here
2. Pick up your kit at the Jars of Dust shop in Virginia Beach, VA
3. Take your kit home and cozy up with your date as you follow the step-by-step written and video instructions that are provided to create your own Catch-All Dishes!
4. You can keep any tools we provide for your next project
5. Once you’re done, bring your creations back to the Jars of Dust shop
6. Give us 3-6 weeks to glaze them in the color of your choice and fire them in our kiln. You can choose from past glaze colors that we have retired, as well as our current set of year-round and seasonal glazes
7. We will contact you when your pieces are finished and ready for pick up
8. Admire your work and display proudly!
Through this process you will have created a strong stoneware piece of pottery that can then be used in your daily life! Not to mention new and fond memories spent creating something with your hands in the company of your loved ones. We can’t wait to see your creations!
