Brown’s Story:

Some of y’all follow us for pottery, but most of you follow us for Brown (and I really don’t blame you!). If you know Brown, you LOVE Brown. This is an update for those who know + love him…

On Friday March 15, our studio pup Brown collapsed while playing fetch in the backyard. Over the next 24 hours he began to lose all motor function from his neck down. Many miracles later, he was seen by a local veterinary neurologist who diagnosed him with a severe herniated disc at the base of his neck. He was immediately taken in for emergency surgery before full paralysis set in and became irreversible.

After the work of incredibly skilled doctors, and bedside care from nurses like you would never believe - our pup is home and beginning the long hard road to recovery. He still cannot stand or walk on his own, but with his strong heart and steady progress we are diligently and prayerfully embarking on a journey to full recovery.

In light of this, I have decided to re-release a pre-order of our old Dusty Dogs t-shirt (artwork by JOD alumni @meag.artista) for a few reasons:

1. Because it is an ode to all the pups of the world - long may they live!

2. It’s a sick ass shirt and deserves to be resurfaced (and probably won’t be the last time either)

3. And truthfully, to provide a way for people who care about Brown to lend support, while also getting something tangible in return that represents the value at which the product is priced (aka I am not asking for donations, or anything of that vain)

Thank you from the bottom of my heart to everyone who knows, loves, asks about, brings treats for, thinks about, and is only interesting in Jars of Dust because of Brown. He’s the best doggon dog in the east.
