About our Products

At Jars of Dust we specialize in creating beautiful and functional handmade ceramics. Our goal is to provide durable and long lasting pottery that is designed to be used on a daily basis, not stored in a cupboard, but passed between hands and generations. Every item is microwave and dishwasher safe, glazed in buttery smooth solid colors, and in simple forms. Some of our most popular collections are handmade mugs, ceramic oil dispensers, handmade ceramic bowls, soy wax candles, ceramic spoon rests, and handmade ceramic plates.

About our Pottery Classes

In our Virginia Beach pottery shop we also offer an array of different pottery classes that you can sign up for! Our pottery classes are taught by professional potters and are located in our cozy and relaxing showroom space right in the heart of the Vibe Creative District. Grab your friend or spouse and come get your hands dirty by learning the craft of clay in our Virginia Beach pottery studio.

About our Studio

A few blocks away from our Virginia Beach pottery shop is where our private pottery studio and headquarters is located. The studio is where our ceramic artists (Mallorie, Lydia, and Steph) create all of our ceramic wares from start to finish. Mallorie throws our tableware pottery collection on the potter’s wheel, Steph constructs our hand-built pottery collection using slabs of clay, and Lydia formulates our glaze recipes and glazes/fires every single piece.
